Namaste Yogis! My name is Briana Gattuso and I am a intuitive, passionate, and spiritual yoga instructor and sound therapist. I have been immersed in the study of yoga for many years. I came to yoga like many people do; in need of some sort of healing. I was introduced to yoga in my college days pursuing a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree, where I took to the practice and philosophy like a duck to water. I quickly realized the profound benefits on the clarity of my mind, body, and spirit at a deep, cellular level.
I found yoga a couple years after suffering a traumatic brain injury. My practice became my saving grace. I used yoga and sound healing for means of rehabilitation, getting my strength back, and teaching me about the importance of self-love and care for our bodies. The near death experience left me with a deep sense of gratitude, however; my disruption of my motor functioning, cognitive abilities, and no sense of self was a struggle. Yoga truly became a lifesaver for me, and I began my journey toward health and healing from the inside- out.
I have over 500 hours of professional training from some of the best yoga instructors in California, and have taught ages ranging from 16-87 years old. I completed my 200 and 300 hour teacher trainings from YogaWorks in Los Angeles. I have studied advanced asana, meditation, injury management, yoga philosophy, prenatal yoga, trauma informed yoga, kundalini yoga, and Kristen Linklater voice work. I completed a six month mentorship with a senior yoga instructor and Ayurvedic counselor.
I am also a trained Level One Sound Therapist offering the use of quartz crystal singing bowls for soundbath sessions 30 or 60 minutes. Great to add onto any yoga session or individually.
Come meet me on the mat, and learn about your journey to heal yourself.
